Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American singer, actress and songwriter. When she was a kid she was subjected to racial taunts by a lot of Americans. When she went to an event at school and was given great praise for her performance at the age of 9, the girl began to grow more confident. The experience not only helped her gain confidence but changed her goals in the future. In 1992 she graduated with her diploma from the New York's Julliard School. She began her career when she was 23 years old, appearing in Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and You've Got Mail in film. Her biggest breakthrough was when she appeared in the character of The Lady of The Lake in the first Broadway show Spamalot winning not just the Tony Award for her performance as well as a lot of critical praise. Later that year, as Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy on ABC her role was given greater recognition. Known as a singer she released her own single and an extended play. She is also a campaigner and has been active for LGBT rights.
